The black whistling lever mechanism on the spout flips up when pouring and emits a classic whistle when the water reaches a boil. It comes with a heat-resistant curved, stay-cool top handle for safer pouring. These are great quality with George Wilkinson making traditional whistling kettles since 1931. As shown in the photos it is in great condition inside and on the bottom - there are a few surface scratches on the outside.
